Green Projects List

Green Projects showcases Green Infrastructure improvements made in the city of Syracuse.Comfort Tyler Park

Green Infrastructure not only helps to prevent combined sewer overflows and improve water quality, it also beautifies our neighborhoods, improves air quality, provides habitats for wildlife, and helps to mitigate local flooding.

The benefits of green infrastructure don’t end there; green infrastructure helps to create jobs, drive economic development, and create safer streets.

To-date, the Save the Rain program has created over 180 green infrastructure projects in combined sewershed basins in the City of Syracuse. These projects capture on average over 122 million gallons of stormwater every year.

Southwest Community Center - Parking Lot

Green infrastructure technologies include rain gardens, bioswales, porous pavement, green roofs, cisterns, and underground infiltration trenches.

Below you will find a list of green infrastructure projects that are in progress or have been completed on public property in the combined sewershed basins in the City of Syracuse. Please check back often for updates on new and ongoing projects.
