Project Description:
The Factory Direct Furniture and Mattress project, located at 2711 South Salina Street and was completed in the Fall of 2019. The project replaces the currently impervious asphalt
parking lot with porous pavement and adds greenspace, each managing stormwater from the parking lot and the furniture store building roof. Approximately 29,000 square feet of porous asphalt and 2,000 square feet of added greenspace were installed. Two roof drains on the building were disconnected from the combined sewer and retrofitted to discharge to the porous asphalt. Overall, the installed green infrastructure captures approximately 863,100 gallons of stormwater runoff annually.
