This project is taking place Downtown on Bank Street (W. Jefferson Street to E. Fayette Street), which required a combined sewer replacement in 2012. In collaboration with the City of Syracuse, a Save the Rain stormwater project was included with the construction of the sewer project. The stormwater project consists of a subsurface stormwater retention bed with slow release back to the replaced combined sewer main.
Phase 2 will be constructed by the City in 2013 – a streetscape project to transform both the Bank Street block and Bank Alley block (E. Fayette Street to E. Washington Street) into a green, pedestrian friendly walkway.
