Rain Barrel Program

Join Save The Rain in our Rain Barrel program. When you sign up for our Rain Barrel workshop Onondaga County residents are eligible to recieve a free rain barrel at the end of the program.

Help reduce the amount of stormwater from roofs that runs off of lawns and into sewer systems. Combined sewers in Syracuse can overflow during wet weather, the use of rain barrels can help reduce the amount of pollutants going into Onondaga Lake and its tributaries.

Rain Barrel Art Contest

Students from our Elementary, Junior High and High Schools design their own rain barrel art and the chosen finalists have the opportunity to make their design a reality by painting a barrel! Members of the community then vote to select their favorite barrel in each age category.
