Project Description:
The Create Public Art GIF project is located at 713 East Fayette Street and the building is currently occupied Flame Restaurant. The GIF project on this site was part of a larger project that included the renovation of an art studio.
The project includes a porous asphalt driveway and parking area in the rear of the building, which captures and infiltrates the stormwater that falls on it. In addition to the porous asphalt, the project includes a green roof system with plantings and engineered soils to capture stormwater and provide a higher level of water quality.
In total, the Create Public Art project captures approximately 5,100 square feet of impervious drainage, equaling an estimated 90,000 gallons of stormwater annually.
