This project involves the retrofit of an underground infiltration system for the Muirfield drainage district.
This project consists of a retrofit of an underground infiltration system for the Muirfield drainage district. This will replace the existing system which is over 30 years old and is not working to design potential.
Benefits of this green infrastructure project include relief for stormwater which has the potential to impact sanitary sewer infrastructure within the Onondaga County consolidated sewer district.
Maintenance of this underground infiltration system will be conducted with the Town of Manlius Storm Water District #2 funds. These funds are appropriated annually by the town. Maintenance activities include annual observation of infiltration rates, removal of debris above the underground system after storm events, lawn mowing maintenance, cleaning of associated catch basins and cleaning fo associated pipes.
