Project Description:
Details: SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry has recently completed construction on their first-ever residence hall, Centennial Hall. This construction included implementation of several green infrastructure components for which SUNY-ESF received a Green Improvement Fund grant amounting to $78,000.
This project involved an infiltration trench, a system of cisterns (also known as dry wells), and bioswales to reduce stormwater runoff from the site of the residence hall. These technologies are expected to prevent approximately 62,000 gallons from entering the sewer system each year.
