Onondaga County residents are eligible to receive a free rain barrel after attending a brief instructional workshop.
The 2023 Rain Barrel Program is presented with the assistance of our valued partners at Cornell Cooperative Extension.
Save The Rain's Rain Barrel Program is a great way to contribute to enhancing water quality in our local waterways. Combined sewers in Syracuse can overflow during wet weather, and the use of rain barrels can help reduce the amount of pollutants going into Onondaga Lake and its tributaries by reducing runoff from roofs.
